Love/Hate
The Echidna crew presents five things we love and five things we hate this week.
Things We Love
The perfect cup of morning coffee.
When you get just the right amount of sweetener and cream blended in, and the coffee’s the perfect temp, and the folks who make it got the measurements right…*sigh* Pure heaven.
Tetris Party for Wii.
Taco Bell.
So what if every item tastes the same, it’s yummy! It’s the one fast food I can eat often and never get tired of. Which come to think of it, probably isn’t a good thing…
Nice people.
I know it may seem self-evident and mundane, but you realize when you’re talking to a store clerk and he is cheerful and gregarious and helpful, and that SURPRISES you, that it must be a rare thing nowadays to encounter someone like that. And that makes you well and truly appreciate it. So - thanks a lot, Random Nice Man!
This piece of knowledge.
That I may never have to watch another George W. Bush speech ever again. If you like him, that’s your business, but for me watching him make a speech is about as pleasant as having each of my teeth forcibly yanked from my mouth with a set of pliers while I’m simultaneously being poked by a thousand screaming midgets.

Things We Hate
Whoever let the idiots out of their boxes this week.
Am I the only one whose noticed an uptick in asshattery on not only the roads, but the sidewalks as well? I’d thought it might be down to the full moon a few days ago but nope—as the moon has waned, the asshattery has remained.
People who take up seats with their bags on crowded modes of public transportation.
Lime Jell-O.
I had a bad experience once, which included lime Jell-O, a houseboat, and seasickness. Haven’t been able to eat it since.
Static electricity.
It makes your hair stand on end, your clothes and blankets crackle and shoot alarming visible sparks, and causes you to both receive and give painful shocks. Which can be especially bad when you’re giving painful shocks to one small brown anxious dog with an overactive bladder. I’m just saying.
George W. Bush speeches.
See “love” above.

I have never had the perfect cup of coffee but I hope to eventually have that little piece of heaven available to me.
I LOVE playing Tetris!! And now that it’s on the Wii! I so need a Wii now. Hopefully I’ll hold out for a bit longer.
And I for one am very very happy to no longer have to endure another Bush speech as well. It’s easy to say, “Just change the channel,” but part me wants to know what else he has to say and another part realizes that most of the other networks will be carrying the broadcast.
